Just a memory to post. Something I like about the DC area. In the late summer the air is humid and heavy. I used to drive down the GW Parkway, sometimes from Great Falls all the way to Mt Vernon. I would feel the change in the air temperature when I went from the deeper parts of the forest to the lower areas near the Potomac near Rosslyn and National Airport. The air smelled sweet. I know it was clover, grass and honeysuckle mixed together. It was...is an intoxicating scent to me. I miss it.
